About Me

I am an integratively trained and BACP accredited psychotherapist with several years NHS and private practice experience. Having initially started out training to be a doctor I soon realised that the part of medicine I was interested in was connecting with and listening to patients. This sparked my interest in psychotherapy and I set out on a new path. I went on to complete both my certificate in counselling & psychotherapy and my MA in counselling & psychotherapy at Regent’s University.

Areas of Counselling that I can help with include but aren’t limited to: depression, anxiety, stress, loneliness, abuse, loss, bereavement, bullying, change, low self-esteem, low self-confidence, perfectionism, panic attacks, trauma, university or work-related stress, motherhood, social media issues and boarding school issues.

I offer long-term and short-term therapy. Please note that currently I am only able to offer online sessions and my only availability is on Tuesday mornings, Thursday mornings and Thursday evenings.

Sessions last for 50mins at a cost of £75 per session.

Integrative Psychotherapy

Integrative psychotherapy means that I use theory from several psychotherapeutic modalities to inform my practice. I have been trained to integrate person centred, relational and psychodynamic psychotherapy into my work. This allows me to be flexible and adaptable with my approach as I feel that therapy is not a one size fits all endeavour.

Person Centred

The 3 main tenets of person centred therapy are empathy, unconditional positive regard and congruence. This means that I will always endeavour to understand your point of view, be non-judgemental and be genuine with you.

Relational

Relational psychotherapy focusses on interpersonal relationships and how they form and inform our experiences of others and ourselves. This means that I would encourage you to explore possible links between your past and present experiences, your emotions and your patterns of behaviour.

Psychodynamic

Psychodynamic psychotherapy focuses on unconscious processes as they are manifested in a person's present behaviour. The aim of psychodynamic therapy is to increase your self-awareness by unraveling and understanding your true, deep-rooted and often painful feelings in order to resolve them.
